Clay shooters have a particular problem that other shooting disciplines don't:  The presentation of the target  moves against a constantly changing and variable background.  Backgrounds of Green trees, deep blue sky, white clouds can be challenging enough, but as the shooter moves across each station it is possible to have a combination of two or all three in a single shot.  And as any shooter can attest, shooting in the fall with autumn colors in full bloom, it becomes even easier to lose a bird in all that foliage.  This can be especially problematic for sporting clay shooters.  For years, manufacturers of shooting glasses researched and produced lenses of vermillion, purple, yellow and orange to help the shooter track a moving target against these backdrops.  For the most part, they do very well.  The Problem?  What works well against one background can almost wash out the target in another.  Many competitors will find themselves going to a shoot with as many as 12 lenses, constantly trying to find one that will be most suitable for the prevailing conditions. 

One Day a Salesman from Pilla Sport contacted me one day to see if I would be interested in carrying their line of products.  I told them that I always keep an open mind and am on the lookout for the best products I can sell my customers.  They gave me all the product information they had for me to read.  After calling them back to tell them that they had a very interesting product line, and that I would be interested, they graciously offered to send me a sample to try for myself.  So I took my sample out one Sunday Morning for a few rounds of skeet.  Ot was a hot humid day with a brilliant blue sky, green tress and a few white very puffy clouds.  In Other words, a typical summer day.  As I waited for a field to open up, I tried them on and could not believe what I was seeing.  First, the optics on masks and lenses are unbelievable.  They are totally crystal clear, the sharpest I have ever tried on.  I also was impressed as to how light they were and they seem to fit me like they were custom made.  As I watched the shooters finish their round, I was astounded to see how much the clay stood out.  They bird was almost glowing it was so bright and sharp and kept a consistant presentation to me as it traveled past trees, blue sky and clouds.  After I finished my round, I knew that I was on to something unlike anything else out there.  The first thing you notice is how different and possibly radical they look.  In this case, it isn't about fashion, but pure function.  Nothing on these glasses is wasted.
